Past or Present Health Problems & Behavioural Problems

It is very important that the Staff are aware of any problems regarding your pets health.. Our Staff needs to know if your pet has had bloating, seizures, heart murmurs, eye or ear infections, diarrhea, constipation, tumours, urinary tract infections, allergies, dietary problems, etc.

Behaviour issues regarding your pet is essential for our Staff to be aware of. Please let us know if your pet has any aggression towards people, food, or other pets.

Emergency Contact Numbers:

Holly’s requires an emergency contact number for yourselves, a relative or friend and the correct information of your current veterinary. Your emergency contact person will be responsible for health decisions if the need should arise.

Bedding and Bowls:

Both fresh bedding and bowls are provided daily and we do not accept items from home.

Leashes and Toys:

Your dog must arrive on a leash when entering the office and it is best if your cat is in a carrier. Holly’s uses our own leashes to walk the dogs. If your dog walks with a harness for example, you may leave that with us. A couple of toys are welcome but please beware that rolling toys or small ones may run under the gates. Holly’s is not responsible for lost leashes or toys.

Departure: On The Day Your Pet Goes Home

The bill must be paid in full when your pet leaves. Holly’s Pride accepts – Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Sorry, we do not accept cheques or e-transfers. You may pay in advance, especially if someone else is picking up your pet for you. (We must be notified if someone else is picking up your pet).

If your departure day has changed please notify us a.s.a.p. as we want to have your dog bathed (if required) and ready for their departure. If your pet needs to stay longer we need to be aware of that as well.

Your pet may appear very thirsty or tired when they arrive home. Please be assured that your pet has had ample water while boarding. This thirst is part of the homecoming and excitement. A word of caution: do not give your dog a big bowl of water or food when they arrive home – by doing this you risk diarrhea or vomiting due to nerves and excitement . Let them settle first. Sleeping a lot for the first few days is normal, it is a busy time during your pet’s stay.
